Paws For Thought
Yesterday afternoon Mishka and I disturbed a fox snoozing in the sunshine. I thought it was rather slow to react to our presence. Last evening we spotted it sitting outside the southerly boiler house. This morning it was in the same position lying down. I took Mishka to the house and returned for a closer look. The poor thing was dead and I was convinced that it was our dear, brave, one-eyed Reynard. I was in tears, thinking that he had starved because I no longer put food out for him now that Mishka has the run of the garden.
Imagine my elation this evening when one-eyed Reynard trotted into view and found some scraps that the birds hadn't eaten. (Extras)
