Great Stone Church

We took a day trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Much of the 7th California mission has been restored, but the Great Stone Church has been left in ruins after the 1812 earthquake that destroyed it. It took nine years to construct, but only lasted for six. The photos unfortunately give no idea of its size. Rest assured, it is significant and awe inspiring.
