Whit Friday

We have spent a wonderful day at the Whit Friday brass Band contest. One of the stops on the Tameside circuit is in walking distance of Miss He’s so we decided we would go there. We spent the morning looking after Libby, and then this afternoon we all went to listen to the bands. We heard 22 (I think) before we left. However, with perfect timing we arrived just in time to be able to chat briefly with Gary, pictured here, who was playing principal cornet with Silk Brass. So lovely to see him - used to play with the same (professional) band as Mr H many years ago, and for many years conducted Staines Lammas Band who I played with for several years.
