I’ve had a very long, productive today despite excruciating levels of pain. Pushed through and felt determined not to give in.
I went for a very long walk and made the most of some free time to soak up the glorious sunshine. I absolutely adore Dock Park in Dumfries and took a series of photos there. I ache tonight!
I’m always very impressed and encouraged at the quality of photographs I can capture with my nearly four year old smartphone.
Today, I got talking to Cameron (today’s Blip). He regularly busks in my adoptive hometown of Dumfries and he has a fantastic voice.
He kindly let me take his photo and even joked it would cost me a fiver! I joked I didn’t have a spare fiver and we laughed.
Lovely to meet such a grounded young guy. He was performing cover versions of songs by George Ezra, Gerry Cinnamon, John Lennon and Jake Bugg. I’m sure his musical talent and sense of humour will take him far in life!
Visited my close friend Sarah and her family tonight after having been to the River of Life (a local church) Food Bank. It was lovely to see them as my health hasn’t allowed me to see her for a couple of months.
I have promised her youngest I will play Minecraft with him at some point as he gave me some lessons in March. I have known both her kids since they were babies as Sarah and I are old colleagues.
The Pantry at the River of Life Church is a very warm, inviting atmosphere. I’m not religious and consider myself spiritual but they do such amazing work and it makes such a difference to me when food is so astronomically priced and I find, like many others, making ends meet incredibly difficult. I definitely believe in The Universe :)
I have most definitely pushed myself a little but too hard today but it was worth it to enjoy the beautiful sunshine on my face and my fibromyalgia is feeling better for some warmer weather.
Thanks for all your kind comments, hearts and stars. I will, as ever, play catch up over the weekend :) xx
