Nice surprise!

I bit the bullet today, so to speak, and spent the whole day weeding both patios and borders, and pruned some trees - no mean feat, as our main patio has a bigger footprint than my first house. And to say it gives a whole new meaning to ‘crazy paving’ is an understatement. It’s cracked, has loads of bits missing and has sunk in several places. The red weed in War of the Worlds has nothing on what I’m up against. Hopefully we can get it sorted next year (but we say that every year!).

It was certainly a nice reward, though, to find so many beautiful flowers buried in the undergrowth.
