New life

Today we went up to Beverley to have lunch with  friends we have known for a very long time. We had champagne and a great fish meal to celebrate our friends 51 years of marriage. We then looked round Beverley Minster, a superb building and huge. Entry was free which was a great surprise and very welcome as most cathedrals seem to charge a hefty entrance fee these days.
On the way home we stopped at a nature reserve near the Humber bridge and these  little back lit coot chicks, which usually look quite ugly   actually looked cute in the low sun!
