Day 2 Anglesey
We had another stunning day in Anglesey today. We woke early after a bad night's sleep (there was a live band in our B&B directly underneath our room that finished at 11.30) and, after a delicious breakfast, we drove to South Stack to try and see some puffins. The views were stunning but unfortunately we didn't have any binoculars so the puffins were too far to see in detail. Two men next to me told me where to look but I couldn't see them clearly.
After, we drove to hire bikes and enjoyed cycling from Llangefni to Malltreath by the marshes. In Malltreath we had a cake and cuppa for lunch and then turned around and cycled back. The wind was against us on the return journey which made it much harder. We saw 3 herons and the scenery was beautiful with Snowdonia in the background. We returned to the B&B in time for Chris to watch Man City beat Man United. Immediately after, we went back to Llangefni so we could walk the remainder of the cycle route through the Dingle Nature Reserve and past the reservoir. We ate tea in Popti Pizza and finally drove up to Mynydd Parys to walk around the copper mountain (we didn't stop as we weren't sure where to park). It's probably a good thing as I'm shattered and we have another busy day planned tomorrow.
