Beach Soccer

Oceanside, CA is hosting the Beach Soccer Championships this weekend, so naturally I had to go down and see what it was all about. It is a fast moving, five a side competition played on a smaller "field" than regular soccer. Lots of passing and plenty of shots on goal, not much dribbling. A photographer's dream with the fountains of sand in almost every shot. I tried my hand at shooting some of the action, even though I had taken my favorite 70-200mm sports lens for cleaning the other day and won't have it back until Monday.
