Empty!

The year before last our cement lined ornamental garden pond developed a significant leak. We left it with some water in the non leaky far end last year as we still had some goldfish, but over the winter the local Heron saw fit to dine on them all!
So this summer we have drained it and are going to buy a plastic liner for it. We did consider sealing it with pond sealant, but in the end the price will be around £350 for both a liner or the sealant, and the liner has a 20 year guarantee, so a no brainier really.
Anyway while it has been empty all the grandchildren have been obsessed with exploring it, with Lex ( seen here) no exception.
Just to add there is normally a bridge across the narrowest part but we removed it while we are lining it for better access.
So now it is a case of ‘Watch this space’
