Car Envy

This car was parked on the side of the street, just like it was a regular, 68 year old, mint condition car.
In high school, I envied those that owned a ‘55 to ‘57 Chevy. Thankfully, I never owned one. My best friend owned on for a while and it burned so much oil that when he pulled into a service station…remember those?…he asked them to, ‘Fill the oil and check the gas!’
My first car was the very first Toyota Corolla I ever saw, the only one the dealer had. The year was 1968 and I paid $1849 cash, for which dealer threw in the radio!
