Hitching a Ride

No less than three female emperor dragonflies were ovipositing on Ripple Lake this afternoon and all of them were being constantly hassled by damselflies. This red-eyed damsel clung in vain onto her back but was eventually shaken off as she took off and did a few manoeuvres!

Another day in the garden and then out with the camera shaking off the dogs as it was way too hot for them round the lake which has no cover.
