Post work wander

Headed out with The Oak for another tootle with the backpack along the Offas Dyke Path this afternoon after work, the first for this month and hopefully not the last. The weather was glorious but it got surprisingly cold once the sun went down so a warming titanium pot full of coconut spiced curry was riddled up which helped to take the chill off for a bit before my down jacket got zipped up and a hat plonked on. We had a Terry’s Chocolate Orange to share for pud too which was good, washed down with a couple of craft ales and a very chocolatey Vocation stout.

We awoke at 7 but took our time packing up to let the condensation dry off from the inside of our shelters due to a night of little-to -no breeze. A few genuinely-polite mountain bikers battery-peddled up past us but otherwise we had the place to ourselves.
