Our shadow minister of defence is rarely photographable. He lives in the roof of the outbuildings.

A day of anti-fascism protest in Poland today. Half a million turned out in Warsaw to share their low opinions of the present incumbents. Official state media probably had some official state nonsense to report about it. I don't know for certain because we never see or hear it.

We were just busy in the garden again. I need to reclaim at least one of our three broken lawnmowers. The grass is getting longer. We have some frost damage to the tomatoes and maybe cucumbers. Otherwise we seem to have got away without taking prcautions. In any case we visited A and D where we were given some more plants. I gave A some jalapino seedlings. It was nice to see them and have a cup of tea. Their garden is further ahead than ours. They are already eating spinach and cucumbers. We had a pleasant drive back through the countryside which is still verdant in spite of the lack of rain.
