Like Ships in the Night

An unusual happening on the trip North tonight. Due to the annual Junior Inter-County sports between Shetland and Orkney taking place this weekend NorthLink’s ferry from Lerwick to Aberdeen popped into Kirkwall on the way south to drop off the Orkney athletes. As a result on our trip north which on a Sunday night takes in Kirkwall the two NorthLink ferries did indeed pass like ships in the night albeit a clear June night at 10:45.
