Crossing the Colorado River
I drove from NBNM to Torrey, today, and the first part of the journey to Hanksville is spectacular. It is a lonely road, no services for 84 miles, and little traffic. From the overlook to what used to be the Hite Marina, there is no longer any lake visible, just the river. However, following the recent rain Lake Powell is rising steadily, and with a year or two of more regular rain, who knows, it may be possible to access the lake from here again.
