White faced Heron at Monaco Peninsula.

Kasper's afternoon walk in beautiful sunshine  was to Monaco Peninsula where a Heron posed for me to get the Blip it was also having a feed until I got too close and it stopped to give me the eye!

There were many people walking around there today beside the good winter weather its a public holiday, the Kings birthday which still does not sound right, so I expected some boating activity but other than a couple of kayaks there were none!

The Extra is looking across the Waimea Inlet towards the Western Ranges that have had a dusting of snow.
Winters coming but slowly!
