Superb Day Out

After all the rain we had yesterday, today was beautifully fine and sunny, but cold!  +4C.  Ten walkers parked at Shortcut Road, and walked from there to Reko's Point, where we had our lunch (Photo).  It turned out to be a long walk, over 12K steps, or just over 8 k's, which is quite far enough.

We stopped for a welcome cuppa at a local cafe before heading for home.  Because it is King's Birthday weekend, most of the cafe's in town were closed, so very pleased that one of them kept their doors open.  The extra is 'setting out'.  A wonderful day out with good friends.
