Oxford / Thrupp
This is a late posting, yet again!
We went for a nice long walk along the canal again this morning, as far as Bakers Lock. It was a lovely morning, although with a cool breeze. After breakfast and showers I managed to find some time to catch up with a couple of days of blips before friends arrived from London to spend the night. It was good to see them and we had an enjoyable afternoon together. MrMacD, W, and I walked along the canal in a different direction from this morning to buy coffee and milk from a nearby shop. A heron landed on a branch across the canal from us and posed while we took photos. Thank you, Mr Heron. On the way back we saw a couple of narrow boats that were obviously occupied by chaps on a stag weekend (an assumption on our part) and were in the process of trying to pull away from their moorings. They were all in fancy dress and looked as though they were having fun. I managed to take a quick photo. We all went to dinner at The Bell at Hampton Poyle. We were in good company as Richard Branson and his family were also dining there. We had a delicious meal and a most enjoyable evening. As we left I walked around to the front of the restaurant to take a photo and there was the most amazing big, round, yellow moon hanging in the sky. An unexpected end to an enjoyable day.
Apologies, I am still way behind responding to fellow Blippers’ lovely comments and dipping into blippers’ journals. I’ll catch up as and when I can.
The blip shows various scenes from our morning and afternoon walks and the yellow moon.
