Red Door, Green Pond, Hermitage Lane, Aylesford
Just another local photographic safari today after watching the most inevitable F.A. Cup Final result in it's history. Manchester City were always going to beat United and so it proved. It wasn't a terrible game (unlike the awful Europa League Final) but it was devoid of any real excitement and I must admit I switched off before they lifted the cup itself. I think City are in danger of becoming the Celtic of England, which is not a good thing.
Today's images are more images of the whitewashed bungalows on Hermitage Lane. Me and my brother didn't realise quite how many of those that are left are now abandoned, with the windows boarded up and the houses themselves in danger of being vandalised or set on fire. The main image (please view large) struck me as being particularly poignant. Not long ago this must have looked so lovely but the grass was already high and the pond was covered in a green algae.
