And Round 5 Goes To .........

The Box............

I managed to win round 4 but it was a hard fought round.

Round 5 was making the screw holes left from the faceplate look like they were deliberate.
The lid was made before the body and was not meant to be mounted on a faceplate but when the drill bit snapped in the hole I was drilling in the centre  as a mount things had to change so I could remove the broken bit of metal out.
My plan meant drilling a few more holes and threading coloured wire through them as they are just outside the lid (as can be seen in the extra).

Unfortunately my craft drill seems to be goosed (the battery is not taking/holding a charge) so I had to resort to drilling them by hand.
I then decided that the coloured wire I had was a bit thin and 'lost' ... so I cut 3 lengths of different colours and twisted them together to give a multicoloured 'rope' effect.
2 problems there....... my calculations were out.  The resulting 'rope' was a bit two short to go round twice to make a continuous circle - and very slightly too thick to pass through the holes twice.
What a pillock!

Round 6 will be me enlarging the holes and either remaking the 'rope' or cutting it into a series of 'staples' and gluing each one in place.

But that is for another day.
