Had to be…

Mum and I walked up the lane and I picked some some elderflower.  I wasn’t going to make cordial this year but, like the hawthorn the elderflower has been so good and tantalising that it had to be! 

Another really sunny day. Still a chilly wind but beautiful light and sunshine all day.  Vik is plagued by allergies again.  I did some gardening in the morning and Mum came over to lunch. I did an asparagus and lemon salad from Nigel Slater and we ate strawberries with the remains of my chocolate cake. 

Watered the garden late.  Watched another episode of Poker Face. Very good.
