Not So Sunny Dunny

My friend Janet and I thought it would be great to make the most of the good weather we’ve been experiencing lately and head to the coast for a swim today. We set off from sunny Peebles mid morning and arrived at a cloudy and distinctly cooler Dunbar. Thank goodness we had brought warm clothes with us! We hit the galleries and shops in the High Street first, in the hope that the sun would come out as forecast, and then shivered our way through a picnic and a walk along the cliffs. Sadly no sign of any sunshine, so we reluctantly gave up on our swim and headed back late afternoon. By the time that we got back to a still sunny and warm Peebles, the car thermometer had increased from 14° to 22°.
