We have discovered a Northern Cardinal nest, very high up in a Crepe Myrtle tree that is next to our screened porch. It is very deep inside and only visible from inside the porch, so I am unable to get any pictures, but with binoculars we have seen both the male and female bringing food to the nest and on a rare occasion, I have seen a little movement coming up from inside the nest.  I managed to get a shot of of the male but had to shoot through a lot of foliage.

We are packing to fly to Miami for games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.  In case you don't know, our son't team, the Vegas Golden Knights, is in the finals for the second time in their 6 years in existence.  They won the first game on Saturday and game two is tonight.  Depending on how things go in this best of seven series, we may be doing a bit of flying back and forth between Miami and Las Vegas, but that is still to be determined.  We are so excited but it is also much more stressful than any of the regular season games.
