Splish Splash
This little rough and ready hanging water dish is a new addition to our patio and will, hopefully, provide a splash or a drink to the wee birds that land on our defunct-but-much-loved hibiscus tree and the ones that nest in the Ivy on the back wall, just 2 metres away. I hung it initially on our roof terrace yesterday, but we then moved it down here as we’d like to monitor it and see some of the action. It’s hanging on one of the branches of the tree. Let’s see!
Edit: back to add this just for my own records. I gave my first volunteer online class to Ukrainian students tonight. I’m taking over a friend’s classes for the month, every Tuesday from 19.00 to 19.40 hours. These classes are organised voluntarily by two colleagues and were set up a year ago, Monday to Saturday with simultaneous classes at the same time for 4 or 5 levels. All the teachers are volunteers. The two organisers didn’t think they’d be necessary for this long. Most of the females are in the UK either in menial jobs or looking after their children and in the class I had, there was one man, who I think attends the class every night from Ukraine. Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
