Sewing Drawer
Sort of an uninspired picture but a place I was very close to for the majority of the day. We're back to drizzly and chilly outside so a day dedicated to sewing din't seem to be a bad idea. And It is an example of what to do with a lot of small items, so it is a rather loose interpretation of the Tiny Tuesday challenge.
Congratulations are in order to Walking Wombat who came up with the idea of Tiny Tuesday....eight years ago I believe she called it something like Mono May Madness. It was an idea that has obviously stuck in the community and inspired a lot of people to volunteer for the hosting duties over the years, and hanks to jensphotos for hosting this month.
I want to thank so many of you who gave such thoughtful answers to yesterday's ramblings. It is a question I'm sure I will continue to think about and I am interested in what other people's thoughts are.
Interestingly, I have been listening to a podcast on Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter called 'Flipping the Bird' which certainly challenges the whole question of individuality and interconnectedness. He clearly is a man who marches to his own drummer and took over Twitter so that he could make it into what he called a 'town hall' platform for free speech. Yet he fired most of the employees and demanded complete fealty from the ones who remained. He gave them 24 hours to sign on to his demand for unquestioning hard work and long hours, yet didn't even seem able to articulate what he expected of them. There's definitely an element of power involved in the whole question of how individuality is exercised.
And so, dear friends, you will no doubt be relieved to hear me say that I have nothing else to say today. I'm not sure I ever put a foot out the door.
