Bird spotting

Half term and a day off, so we spent the day with the grandparents,  bird spotting at Chew Valley Lakes. The boys have discovered an app called Merlin which detects bird song/sounds and identifies which type of bird it belongs to. The boys had much fun, borrowing our phones and comparing how many birds they'd identified. Theo is pretty good at recognising most of the calls himself without the app, but Henry needed more help. Then we all had an ice cream before going home
