Anniversary Celebration All Day
Mr. Fun woke me this morning with a beautiful bouquet of a dozen red roses and several fragrant stargazer lilies. He also had a press pot of chocolate coffee, Danny Oertli on the iPod singing "Will You Marry Me Again,"and this meaningful card. He likes to write in "bubble" letters, we both love the sandy shore, I especially like photographing a wave that has fizzled to foam, and I've always been partial to "hearts" drawn in the sand.
Later this morning we both went our separate ways to work and then the late afternoon reunited us at home. We were off, then, to spend a few moments at "Orange Hill" restaurant at the top of Orange County so we could reminisce and reflect about wonderful memories we have created there; then from "Orange Hill" we drove to Laguna Beach and enjoyed a satisfying dinner at Salerno Italian Restaurant. Neither one of us is Italian, but over the years, we have eaten enough Italian food , that we should be considered Italians.
We both can hardly believe that we've been married 48 years. Really, there is a 22 year old living inside of me. (We did, though, get married when he was 19 and I was 15.) Today has been a wonderful anniversary. I can hardly believe all the things we've done together and the places we've traveled to. If today were our last day togther, it would be nice to say that it would be enough, but truthfully it wouldn't be enough. I'll take another 48 with him.
Good night from Southern California.
