COLD BREW
For my birthday, last year, my daughter
gave me this COLD BREW MACHINE.
(on the right)
Today I coarsely ground the coffee beans, then put the grounds into the cold brew machine. I add water, then put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Tomorrow, the “black gold” concentrate will be ready.
There should be concentrate
enough to last a week. The directions say to add 4 oz. or more, to 3/4 cup of cold water. I like my coffee bold & strong, so I add more “Black Gold.”
It is a bit of a process today, but
once it is ready, tomorrow morning,
it is so easy. And delicious. It seems
much smoother to me & it packs a punch.
I drink it during the warmer months, for a change of pace.
COLD BREW is different than ICED COFFEE, which is hot coffee poured over ice. They are both served cold, but the process is different. I drink my coffee black, but both kinds are great with cream & sugar.
Some coffee purists (my son) think
coffee should only be hot. I say, during
the hot “dog days” of Summer, strong,
COLD BREW is perfect
