Slow walking
I’m took us from 10.30 to 13.30 to do 3 miles round Pollok Park on the Glasgow Ramblers Dog Friendly walk, admittedly that included a very chatty coffee stop in the dog friendly café at Pollok House. No one seemed to mind the dog centred pace and there was plenty of opportunity to smell the roses as it were.
The rhododendron walk was completely dry and whilst probably just past their best there was a fine display of rhododendron petal carpet. I was pleased we spotted a jay, a first for most folk.
I passed several of my neighbours who were on the Highland Cattle walk led by the park rangers, and advertised the day after I had published the dog walk. The two would not have been compatible.
