I woke up and, though I didn't feel fully rested, it was light so I got up. The bathroom clock said 08.36, rather later than I'd estimated so I went downstairs and opened up.

Turned on the TV for the news but it wasn't on....because it was actually only 04.30 and broadcasting hadn't begun.

So I sat in the flopping chair, watched a bit of cable TV and have had a quiet day with a nap in the afternoon. Mr Flum has changed the clock battery and I'm shortly off to bed for a proper night's sleep.
