Zoo day

In the end the weather looked like it wouldn't be too bad so we elected to go to the Zoo. This Gorilla looked as cheesed off with the drizzly rain as we were.

Fortunately there were enough dry periods that we were able to see most of the Outdoor animals out doing what they do, except for the Sumatran Tiger who seemed content to sleep, and treat his human observers with complete disdain. We learnt that the Tigers can sleep for up to 20 hours each day so I suppose we shouldn't have been surprised that the only Tiger picture I got was with his(her?) head resting on the front paws, eyes closed, dreaming of the fun that could be had if there wasn't an inch of toughened glass between us. well, I assume that is what a captive Tiger might dream about, who knows?
