Inversion Layer

Wānaka actually reached +3degrees today! It is soooo cold with the inversion layer that you can see in this photo. It’s the worst time of the year in Wānaka , and many people escape to the Gold Coast in Australia for a few weeks to avoid this weather pattern!

Frida still got good walks, and we all have warm clothes to wear! We are also grateful for the new heat pump we had installed last Friday and we can operate it via our iPhones. So today when I took Billy to the vet I could turn the heat pump on when we left, and downstairs was lovely and warm when we got home. Billy has pancreatitis - he’s doing ok but needs monitoring by blood tests. He was sooo good.
Frida seems ok again - long may it last. The vet bills have been steep!

I’ve been to a “Cultural and Heritage” Hui - so nice to be home by the fire again.
