Orange Papavers. The Esplanade. Rishton.
The Feast Day of St. William of York.
Today is the first birthday of my father in law, since he passed on 19th May 2023. He would have been 92 years old. I am still in grief and it feels difficult to describe. He was a short man with a huge charisma. He loved God, the Catholic faith and in better days, played a very good game of golf.
We ordered the flowers for his funeral on 30th June. A big heart shape made up of red roses.
It is World Ocean Day. It began in 1992. One of tge aims is to consider activities to improve marine environments. Over 3 billion people depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods.
It is a lovely sunny Thursday here and 14c. The wind is strong, making it difficult to take photos of flowers.
I thought I had better capture these beautiful orange poppies before the wind blows them over.
There are beautiful white papavers too.
Have a good day blip friends and thanks for dropping by.
