'Starry Nights of Shetland' at Belmont House

Music is celebrated in Shetland with a vengeance. Aly Bain's fiddle playing is legendary but Shetland tunes are played on all kinds of instruments all over the world. Today's photo features daughter Lesley and her husband Rikki playing  'Starry Nights of Shetland' on bouzouki and concertina. It is not night but soon after breakfast, in the drawing room of our wonderful residence at Belmont House. See also the National Trust for Scotland holiday website.
