Lunch venue
Local people will be familiar with Gomshall Mill. A former watermill, the building dates from the 17th century and was a working mill until 1953. I remember visiting it for afternoon tea, and they served wonderful watercress sandwiches. It has been a successful pub in recent years. Inside, the huge waterwheel still turned. Today, for lunch with friends M and C, we had a table on a huge new outdoor terrace at the back of the pub. Here there is a good view of the ancient tiled roof of the building. (Extra) it is an attractive drive across the North Downs to reach Gomshall, and we had an excellent meal in these lovely surroundings.
