In Memoriam

What is now the East Corinth General Store used to be a garage called Hassie and Ed's. Everyone had a story about Hassie. Many years ago, on an icy day I slid around the corner in my old Buick and hit the corner of the building. That gash was there for years! You could take your duct taped car to him and he would give it an inspection sticker. It was a local hangout. Hassie passed away recently and the owners of the store were able to get the sign and put it up in his old place. I think Hassie spent a lot of his later years on that bench in front of the store. No one ever knew who Ed was:)
