Needle

I call this one the Needle Tree, although it’s only an optical illusion apparent from certain angles.

I’m still feeling a bit under the weather but figure a bit of exercise and fresh air is generally a good thing. 

Today’s butterfly encounters included: my first Meadow Brown of the year, which seemed quite early for my local patch; Small Heath; Large Skipper; Holly Blue and Speckled Wood.
