Papa Stour, Shetland Islands

This morning we cruised the waters around Papa Stour in our Zodiac, marveling at all the sea birds nesting high up on the steep rocks, admiring the curious seals as they popped their heads out of the sea to investigate us, and gliding slowly through some amazing caves with their fascinating geology and crystal clear waters.

The birds in this collage are a shag on her rather tousled looking nest high on a ledge, and a cozy fulmar ensconced amongst the sea pinks.

This afternoon we'll take a hike on the nearby island of Foula to see what we can see.
