Foul-play suspected?

I can't in all honesty say when I last saw a Song Thrush, but frequently see signs that there's at least one nearby.
Death by natural causes seldom occurs in the middle of a path - PLUS - had it been trodden it would be:-
1. In smaller fragments.
2. Not spread over 2-3 feet.
