Sailing round

This rig has been off the Cal Mac pier in Gourock for some days.    It was there at end of last year too, apparently exploring under the sea bed as preparations are made for a new transport hub , though if that is going to perpetuate the positioning of Cal Mac HQ in Gourock I would hope wiser counsels would prevail.   The right place for the national ferry carrier head office is on the islands or  , at a pinch, Oban or Mallaig.   Not in the central belt anyway.  

On way way back from Edinburgh this afternoon , with the sun shining, I watched the Argyll Flyer coming in from Dunoon and working its way round the obstacle, just as it had early this morning when I cam across from Cowal.
