The Cider India Express (Mostindien Express)

Coincidentally, we were at the railway crossing today when the historic Mostindien Express passed through (at a nice slow pace). The train is run by an association (webpage only in German) and occasionally steams through our area.

Why cyder India?
Since the 19th century, the canton of Thurgau has been popularly called "Mostindien" because of its apple cultivation and its shape, which is reminiscent of India.
