Well That Needs Fixing.
After Squirrel headed off to school I went out and cut more hedge, shredded a lot of it and took it to the tip. The shredding was what stopped me doing any more because doing so didn't add to the bulk - just the weight. It was bad enough getting the bag (one of those big builders one that sand/gravel etc are delivered in) into the car - but getting it up to empty it into the 'skip' really took it out of my back and hips.
When I got back SWMBO made me a coffee in one of the mugs I have made. I don't usually have coffee in it because it is a bit large and more suited to a bottle of beer.
I got about 2/3rds of the way through the coffee and then noticed a couple of bubbles and the noise associated with them.
This is what I found at the bottom ............. the finish (a waterproof varnish) was separating from the wood.
I suspect that the heat was the problem and that there may have been a slight fault in the coating which has lifted and burst letting the liquid in and making it much, much worse.
So that will be an interesting repair job.
We were round at Bags' house for the monsters getting home from school (Fridays being a half day in the educational system), so I had the chance to get some pictures of the cat without him being bothered by the kids. Guess what kind of day he had. The other shots may give a hint.
