Surprising visitor!

This is the first time i have seen a deer, a Muntjac, in my garden and given that I live in the middle of Louth I was very surprised!  But I was glad to catch a quick photo from the house. It didn't hang around for long.
Back at my pottery class today and the news there was that the peahen's eggs have hatched. There were 4  very cute chicks but I wonder how many will survive  as there are owls around one of the barns.
I'veeposted a photo in my extras but didn't want to go near and frighten them.
