Today I saw

a common newt, or rather two of them. They might be called common but they don't look it. It was John who discovered them in our greenhouse when he attempted to move a large flowerpot. They were hiding underneath. Needless to say they have been covered up again in their cosy little shelter but not before a blip was taken!

My African Circles quilt made it to the spotlight yesterday and many thanks are due to everyone who put it there!
