The cat in the window.
The Feast Day of Saint Ephrem.
It is a lovely warm sunny day, 21c here in Rishton and that is warm enough for me!
It is forecast to be 26c during the afternoon when I will happily find a cool room to sit quietly and read. Thunderstorms are also forecast.
All the outdoor tasks have been done, such as early watering of all the big green flowerpots.
I went down to Ray's on the High Street. I bought three medium size bags of multi compost and some more multi coloured nasturtium seeds.
I sowed them in a window box with mint and strawberry plants.
The siamese cat came for cat biscuits and water. A starling fledgling on our shared wall was too frightened to fly when he was left behind by the adult birds. So I went out and encouraged him to fly and he got the idea.
There are many blackbirds singing, sparrows twittering in hedgerows and I saw a beautiful red and black cinnabar butterfly with distinctive wings. Nature is so beautiful and inspiring.
This is my 4015th blip entry. I am so grateful for all your friendship and support.
Have a peaceful happy Saturday and keep cool and hydrated. Thanks for visiting my site blip friends.
Update.
The temperature is 28c at 4pm and really hot. It is like a wall of warmth in the garden. Watching The Water Horse on Great Movies and keeping cool.
