I smelt it before I saw it, a farmer muck spreading in the field the other side of the little spinney I walk through to the supermarket .. phew, what a pong!  A very limited viewpoint due to the brambles, but fascinating seeing these 'arms' coming out each side to distribute the fertiliser. Did a big shop before it got too warm, it feels like the Sahara today, but not complaining one little bit. Will definitely need to get the hose out this evening, everything is so dry. I've been nursing my beans and tomatoes though, they've been watered every day.
