A misty, rainy day

I'll take it! The forecast was for a cloudy day, so the mist and rain were a much-needed surprise. I took this photo of the garden in the mist and added extras of the fig tree in the mist and the sun umbrella that didn't need to be opened today. We so need rain, and I was very happy to have it rain yesterday, overnight, and for the entire day so far. You can see how dry the ground outside the fence is already. I didn't have to water the garden today and likely won't have to water it tomorrow either. I did laundry and some other inside chores, good to take advantage of a rainy day to catch up.
The garden looks quite different this year, with the white raised beds replacing the cedar ones that we had for several years. The wood was starting to rot, so G replaced them. A bit more space for planting now, and I quite like the white beds.
Bill and his sister are back on the island for the weekend and will head back to Victoria on Monday for another week of radiation for Bill. It's going okay for him so far. We had a good afternoon visit with coffee and treats. They picked salad greens and green onions just before leaving. We'll see them again next Saturday.
Off to watch the UEFA Champions League final now that G recorded earlier.
Looking forward to a long walk tomorrow, rain or shine.
