Tis winter....

....a stroll through my garden with a cuppa in hand, it's mostly in shade, cold and damp but as day passes the mid-afternoon mark, sunlight streaks through strong and bright bringing this little hellebore to life. Alas it doesn't last long but it's a sign we're in the season of winter and there's life in the garden we just have to look a little bit harder for it.

Woke to a good frost, -3 at 6am, I slid back under the covers for a wee bit longer. During breakfast sun was streaming into our lounge and dining areas, was so inspiring and warming, 12C was our high.
