Great North Swim

I set off about 8:30 for the Lakes. I went straight to Laura’s cabin to pick her up. I also wanted a nosy as she lets people stay there :)

It was very nice and right on the edge of Windermere. I think I might just have to have a sojourn there.

Her friend Susan arrived and we headed off to Brockholes, picking up Debbie en route. I was so glad I’d managed to prebook a parking space as it was so busy.

We had a wander round the stalls in the glorious sunshine and then got ready for our swim. It was so hot that it was a relief to get in the water. The water temp was 20° and fabulous. They were faster swimmers than me but I get there eventually. It was such a lovely swim.
