Park Roses
I was going to show you a corn poppy fighting with our burning bush but by the time I was in place, the wind had already caught its petals. Never mind! This is one of the first roses to bloom. It's a 'park' type rose, which requires little care according to the nursery.
Yesterday was again occupied with digging and more courgettes were planted. Today, I cooked lunch and M and A called round. D again made leek soup and egg custard in the oven. She just appeared with some honeyberries (Lonicera caerulea var. kamtschatica) which are in season.
